Excerpt from Genesis Beach

I’d driven all this way to slap him senseless and tell him to go straight to Hell, only to realize he was already there. I swallowed hard, my anger dissipating, his Hell my satisfaction. I pushed the nurse’s call button just out of his reach.
“May I help you?”
“Mr. Teater needs some assistance,” I responded in a voice unfamiliar to me. I dropped the button and walked away, never looking back.

Excerpt from Hell Swamp

Some folks busied themselves setting up yard decorations for Christmas. Even Mr. Gaddy went all out. Colored lights attached to some kind of netting ran back and forth on his roof. I looked in my rearview mirror, and with no cars behind me, I stopped in the middle of the road and giggled until I broke out in a full-blown howl. A partially inflated and extremely jolly Santa in front of the house waved at me. He appeared to be humping Rudolph, well inflated and right in front of him.

Thank you Susan; I'm glad I'm not the only one doing that. And I used to get impatient with my mom when she did that stuff, she made us late quite often, now I'm doing it ! Hah !

Hi Susan,
Thanks for being my first friend on this site. You have an impressive Bio, and I must look into your books.

Aw, Susan, my knee feels better with your sympathy. Like a kiss on the boo-boo that our moms used to do!

Thanks for ordering WHERE ANGELS FEAR. It's a fun, sexy romp for my little astrologer.

You should make friends with Mike Befeler, who joined this morning. He writes Geezer Lit. Also, check out Jean Henry Mead's MYSTERIOUS PEOPLE. I think you could be pretty "mysterious" too!

Hi. I was Ass't Head of Upper School for 9 years, but I missed teaching. So I went back to the classroom. Just retired 18 months ago. Most of my writing is poetry that I share in Deborah's The Poet's Lounge, but I post now and again here. Nice to meet you. :) Anne

Thank you sweetie - that's actually a song by Bryan Adams. You can easily add your own music to your site or you can add music directly from the music player on the home page. The song on my profile is actually on the Society's music player.

Hi Susan --

We do have an Authors Society store and there is a link to the store on the left side of the home page --- you can just click right into it. We will be adding more products to it, but there are some great items available now :-)
