My Newest poem -- That Goddamn Bell

That Goddamn Bell

A brain locked into a world of letters and numbers
Concentrating on every meaning
Seeing nothing but what is before it
The mind wanders
Leaving the brain
It floats away, looking back
Seeing a face without emotion
Just pure logical thought
It drifts away
Looking for a sandy beach
A beautiful woman lying on smooth black sand
The setting sun shining warm on her skin
Beads of water glistening in the amber glow
There is a smile
Lips red, moist and inviting
Blowing the sweetest of k… Continue

What Would Have Happened?

Whatever happened to you?
So many years ago
More than I want to count
I looked into your eyes
There was a sweetness there
Everyone saw it
I brought it into me and my heart smiled
I listened to you talk
Your voice made me melt
I wanted you in my life
You made me who I am
But we were barely out of grammar school
We had no idea what love was
Always told we were to young
Told that it was just puppy love
No one knew how I felt
I couldn’t even tell you
I waited for you
That was years before my first k… Continue

While The Demons Laugh

Darkness
An endless underground
Lit only by raging fires
Shadows hide creatures which should never be imagined
Demons claw at corroded rock
Gouged and pitted by never ending heat
Lost angels sit on ashen thrones
Watching the condemned beneath
The dead moan a useless cry
The dying beg for forgiveness
For unremembered sins
And unmentioned errors
Punished humans
No longer people
Sent to this place by a God who didn’t care
Exiled for some inexcusable mistake
Naked
Tortured
They run through the toxic… Continue

My New Poem --- A World Of His Creation

The sun crosses the dividing line
Stars begin to peek out from their hiding places
The blue skies begin to turn
Dark azure clouds drift past a golden sky
An amber world lives for a brief moment
Then it fades as did the light before
Birds fall silent as they flock to the pleasure of sleep
The waves which crashed all day
Smoothing into a sheet of glass without a ripple
The stars make the trek they have made for a billion years
Without a sound
All is silent, all is peaceful
This world sleeps as the… Continue
