- A retired social worker, I have chosen to characterize my experiences in fictional form, with my five novels.
I attended universities in San Francisco and Sacramento, graduating with a B.A. degree in psychology. I earned a master's degree in counseling while providing social work services by day...And while rearing my four children, now grown.
I am now a proud grandparent of seven.

- I have lived several lifetimes, it seems...from a childhood of "tyranny," as described in my novel "Web of Tyranny," and as a protestor during the Vietnam War, while attending college. These experiences were chronicled and fictionalized in my novel "Miles to Go."

CHILD ABUSE, FAMILY DYSFUNCTION, INTERVENTION...
When I opened to the front page of my local newspaper the other day, the headlines screamed at me: BOY DIES AFTER SEVERE BEATING!
Subsequent days follow with more headlines: OFFICIALS WERE WARNED, CPS IS INVESTIGATED, and finally, on the front page of the Local & State section, a lesser headline: IF OUTRAGE FADES AGAIN, KIDS WILL KEEP DYING.
All of this is a reminder of the familiar patterns of my life, back when I was a social worker with Child Welfare Services in this Central Valley city… Continue
