I'm a mom and a five-time grandmother. I grew up in Hood River, Oregon. Moved to the big city after college, which I didn't finish. Instead, I went to business school and learned how to key punch. Yes, key punch. I didn't studder. That was the beginning of my IT career. From there I started a with the phone company. That sent me to Seattle, and I ended up where I am now, except the phone company and I parted ways. Now I work as a Doctor's Assistant and pray for a better economy or a best selling novel so I can retire.
I've wanted to write since third grade when my teacher said I wrote real good. But in those days, you didn't follow your dreams, your dreams were traditional. I didn't know any better. So I forgot about writing until one day about five years ago, I was at work. I sat up in my chair and out of the blue announced to whoever was within hearing range, "I am going to write a book."
I'm Almost done with my first novel, Bum's Rush, I hope two more months till I seek a publisher. Actually there was another novel and I finished it. Then I realized I had written two or three novels in that one and pulled Bum's Rush out of that. I plan to go back and finish that as soon as I launch this book, however it gets done.
