First Annual Authors Society Convention

Hello there! As the creator of The Authors Society @ Ning, I’ve been thinking…

How can we do something major with The Authors Society @ Ning?

How can we bring everyone together, get our voices out there, get off of the internet palace and make a major difference in literacy and in music?

Well, I’ve come up with a hot idea. It’s certainly not a new concept, but it’s definitely a hot idea.

The First Annual Authors Society Convention!

The convention will take place in New Jersey and I am currently looking into the following venues:

The Convention Center, Wildwood, NJ,

The Hyatt Regency, New Brunswick, NJ or

The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, Raritan, NJ.

The cost has not been established as of yet, however, I will work my hardest to keep it to a minimum. I am looking for speakers on all different topics (writing, publishing, editing, genre specific topics, media (t.v., radio, magazines), film, people knowledgeable about the music industry, readers, etc...), as well as an MC to introduce all of our speakers and much more.

I am also looking for people who have 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations for literacy, services for the blind, or any other type of organization who would benefit from book donations from our members.

I am shooting to schedule the conference for the summer of 2010, or in the spring of 2011.
