The Authors Society

The Complete Literary Network

Hello society!

In my daunting search for book reviews by avid readers, it seems finding folks to read and review titles are few and far between. And, even more daunting, is finding those glorious book worms who will read and write a review of your book for no charge.

If you are an avid reader who also enjoys writing reviews for titles to let others know about work out there, please let us know. I know many authors would greatly appreciate and benefit from your insights and your reviews are essential to the literary community.

Most authors would be delighted to send you either an e-book version of their book or the print version in exchange for your honest review. Please let us know if you are among the many valued readers out there who are looking to network with our authors for reviews.

Please note, that I do offer free and honest reviews of books either in PDF format or in-print books. Although I prefer an in print version of your book, I have no problem reviewing PDF versions. If you provide me with links to your books on Amazon, B&N, etc.. I will post my review to those sites as well as all of my networks and blogs.

Thanks.

Hi there
It's me fran lewis your favorite book reviewer
I only read print versions of books. My reviews are in-depth and it is easier for me to read and review a book that I can take notes on and really read and reread. I get eyestrain reading on my computer. Fran Lewis

I'd be willing to read and review a couple of books as long as they are (1) Not too long. (2) Fantasy Fiction and/or Metaphysical & (3) A free print copy. Also, there are some magazines and journals out there who will read and review books in exchange for a complimentary copy.

Thank you David -

Could you provide some information about those magazines and journals that you are aware of? I know many authors could benefit from knowing about them. I do know of Midwest Book Review.

I review genre fiction for my blog; fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, paranormal, historical, poetry, as well as any non-fiction that interests me. I prefer print versions as I can read them quickly, but will consider e-books if they are short in length or the book is self-published ( I know it can be difficult and expensive for some self-published authors to get print review copies).
Besides my blog and Ning.com, I will also post reviews to Amazon.ca, and the library sites Goodreads, LibraryThing and Shelfari if your book is listed there.

Hey Deb!
Sure, I would love to read and review books for anyone...I can benefit from it also seeing new and different idea's, thoughts...would help me with my own writing. I am probably a very good critic also...I hate to hurt feelings...LOL I think it's a wonderful thing to help each other out by doing this. I am game for any way a person wants to send it, if they are like me, the easiest way is best. I am willing to read and review any genre also.

I'd be happy to look at a book or two now and then. No mystery thrillers or romance. Literary novels, historical fiction, etc. is fine.
